On October 28th, 2008, the Fire Prevention Law of PRC was amended on the 5th Meeting of the 11th NPC Standing Committee and has come into force since May 1st, 2009, putting forward such slogans as “unified leadership from the government, regulation from law-enforcing departments, comprehensive responsibility for specific bodies and active participation from the citizens” and “fire prevention concerning everyone and no security guaranteed without participation from all”. As an active response to the call of government, on June 3rd, the hotel gathered all the foremen in each department, the technicians with the grade-III qualification or above, receptionists as well as foremen from each floor to receive a training course about fire control information and usage of extinguisher. The lecture was given by a fireman from our city fire brigade.
Such kind of training also shows that the leaders of the hotel attach great importance to the fire safety of the hotel. We emphasize fire prevention, not firefighting, because prevention is more important. In our operation and management, we should always keep fire safety in our mind and make timely renovation of aging fire fighting devices. In daily work, our staff should not only strengthen their own awareness of fire prevention, but also remind our guests of the same at the right time and in the proper way, so as to nip the hidden security troubles in the bud. |
